“Andrea worked alongside me in my 8th grade ELA classroom for 1.5 years. One semester as a clinical student and one year as a student-teacher. I can not say enough positive things about Andrea's pedagogy, classroom management, and content knowledge. Not only is Andrea a natural teacher, but she also has a way about her that makes kids confident in themselves and want to learn. Andrea also is a dream to work alongside. She is responsible, dependable, and always wanting to better herself. I would hire her without hesitation for a tutoring or teaching position.”

Teaching & Tutoring Journey!
I have always been surrounded by teachers and students. My family currently has 17+ teachers who aspire to strengthen the minds of the future leaders of our world. Growing up in a HUGE family full of teachers and little cousins that I tutored, I always felt that teaching was in my blood. I mean.. the highlight of my night would be playing "school' "with my little brother, reading to him, and helping him with his assignments. My love for teaching is not in disconnect with that of my art, for I love to teach art and teach through art. My teaching styles make learning fun, culturally responsive, and help build bright multifaceted leaders.
I will continue my teaching journey in January 2020 as a Fulbright Scholar. I will travel to Galicia, Spain, to teach English in the classroom while incorporating my love for the arts. The Fulbright scholars are selected from over 10,000 applicants from various institutions of higher learning in the United States, including ivy-league, private, and state universities, as well as liberal arts colleges and research institutions. Sponsored by the United States Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program selects participants on the basis of academic merit and leadership potential.
